Santa Cruz was a Senior team project with Carmen Vidal and Gabriel Estrada.This design was awarded Second Best Graphic Design at the 2007 Annual UTEP Student Art Exhibition juried by Gail Anderson and Jane Milosch.

For this project we were asked to design an identity for a company of our choosing and apply the brand to multiple pieces of packaging, products and accessories. Our idea was to design a brand for a high end butcher shop, or what we saw in our heads as a “meat gallery.” We wanted it to be reminiscent of a fancied up barn with polished wood floors and dramatic lighting that would appeal to a more discerning taste. We also wanted the logo and shopping bag to look recognizable and high end enough to be basically the Tiffany’s of meat. ; )
